Anthony Tarlton

Anthony Tarlton studied violin at the Royal Manchester College of Music under Alexander Moskovsky. After spending some three years with the BBC Northern Symphony Orchestra, Mr Tarlton took up his present position as a first violinist with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. In addition to orchestral playing he performs frequently in recital and chamber music programmes throughout the Midlands and North of England. He has two brothers in the profession: one is a bassoonist with the Welsh National Opera, the other is a bass player with whom Mr Tarlton occasionally teams up to play Bottetsini's celebrated (and very difficult) Grand Duo.

Programme

Ludwig van Beethoven: Symphony No 8 in F Major Op 93

Antonín Dvořák: Suite for Orchestra Op 39

Gustav Holst: Country Song Op 22a

Felix Mendelssohn: Violin Concerto in E minor
