"The first variation is a real beast, but Duncan Glenday dashed it off in quite coruscating style. It was deft and nimble fingerwork of the highest order. But this was not just brute technique by any means, for his pianism shone quite unmissably through the dizzying flurry of notes in many places. It was a fantastic and much applauded tour de force from a brilliant young talent we are bound to hear more of." Manchester Evening News
