Mary Pope

Mary Pope read music and education in Bath, graduating with an honours degree in 1984. She later went on to study singing at the RNCM where she gained a distinction in her professional performance diploma recital in 1994. Mary has performed extensively in recital and oratorio, making several broadcasts for local BBC radio and in 1990 a recording for Radio Suisse Romande. She has participated in numerous master classes in Britain and abroad, and was the winner of ther prestigious Frederick Cox award for singers in 1993. Amongst her numerous principal operatic roles have been the Countess in Figaro, Pamena in the Magic Flute, Michaela in Carmen and Mrs Jessel in Britten's Turn of the Screw.

Mary continues her vocal studies with the support of the John Moore's foundation.
