"The first variation is a real beast, but Duncan Glenday dashed it off in quite coruscating style. It was deft and nimble fingerwork of the highest order. But this was not just brute technique by any means, for his pianism shone quite unmissably through the dizzying flurry of notes in many places. It was a fantastic and much applauded tour de force from a brilliant young talent we are bound to hear more of." Manchester Evening News

A local Oldham man, Duncan attended Hulme Grammar School for boys, where OSO often perform. Since completing his studies at the Royal Northern College of Music, pianist Duncan Glenday has performed extensively throughout England and Scotland in recital and as concerto soloist. He has appeared at St James' Piccadilly, Imperial College, London, the Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford, Peel Hall, Salford and with the Northern Chamber Orchestra in Beethoven's second concerto at the Lowry. As a soloist he has recently given recitals for Music Societies in Matlock, Lytham St Annes, Ayrshire and in the Lake District, and later this season will be giving concerts in Sheffield, Chester, Rochdale and Leigh.
