Christina Waldock began to play the cello at the age of 6. She studied with Susan Lowe and Joan Dickson, latterly at the Purcell School in London. Although she won a scholarship to the Royal Northern School of Music, she took up an offer to read Modern and Medieval Languages at Pembroke College, Cambridge. She has taken part in masterclasses with Steven Isserlis, Alexander Baillie, Steve Doane and members of the Amadeus and Endellion String Quartets. She has also participated in the IMS masterclasses at Prussia Cove.

In Cambridge, Christina gave many duo recitals and was a founder member of the Kettles' Yard Ensemble, offering repertoire from renaissance to contemporary. She also became known for her solo cello recitals and she performed concerti by Elgar, Schumann and Kabalewski. She was co-principal cellist of Cambridge University Chamber Orchestra and principal cellist of Cambridge Strings, with whom she took up residency at the 1994 Ryedale Festival.

Christina has played in Russia, Germany, Italy, Canada and Austria. As a member of the Juventus Quartet she performed on London's South Bank and at festivals and music clubs throughout the country, and was selected by Stage '91 for a tour of spain and the Canary Isles. She has performed Tchaikowski's Rococo Variations with the Whitgift Chamber Orchestra in the Normanhurst Festival and with the Academy of St. Olave's in York, the Dvorak concerto with the Oldham Symphony Orchestra and The Protecting Veil with the Academy of St. Olave's. She has a fruitful duo partnership with Mark Knoop and enjoys other chamber music partnerships with, among others, Convergence, Deborah White, Phillipa Mo and Carl Rosman.

Christina has participated in several multi-disciplinary theatre projects and she also holds music workshops, mainly for the young and the disabled.

Tina played the Dvorak Cello Concerto with Oldham Symphony Orchestra in 2001.
