OSO Soloist: Slava Sidorenko
Described by the MEN as ‘a young pianist set to make a major impact’, Slava Sidorenko studied at the RNCM from 2003, working with Norma Fisher.
Slava began his musical education at the age of 5 in the Ukraine. He later won a scholarship to study at the RNCM and he has since claimed many prestigious awards. He made his debut in 2009 at the Wigmore Hall, as winner of the Jacques Samuel Intercollegiate Piano Competition and received glowing reviews. Slava has appeared as a soloist in the Ukraine, Germany, Italy and many parts of the UK including Bridgewater Hall and he has performed with several highly esteemed groups including the Manchester Camerata in 2010. Slava also won a Gold Medal at the inaugural RNCM Gold Medal Weekend in 2006, the highest accolade for performance at the College.
